History
For OVER 50 years we have continually assisted Centre County residents in crisis.
Centre Helps has assisted people in crisis since 1972. From On Drugs (1972) to Well Spring (1995) to Community Help Centre (2001) to Centre Helps (2017), we have made a difference in the lives of Centre County residents for over 50 years.
Timeline:
1972- On Drugs, Inc. begins offering alcohol & drug interventions, information, and education
1995- On Drugs, Inc. becomes Well Spring
1998- Well Spring assumes contract for Volunteer Center of Centre County and begins providing additional services
2001- Well Spring officially merges with Volunteer Center of Centre County to become Community Help Centre
2017- Community Help Centre becomes Centre Helps to better communicate our mission and mark our 45th year of serving Centre County residents
TODAY- Centre Helps offers an array of services for individuals within the community!
